Okay, so I am a super strict vegetarian. But, I try not to impose my views on anyone else, because I understand that everyone has different tastes and some people aren’t as morally against meat as me.

BUT, that being said, I can not STAND the thought of anyone eating veal or lamb. The thought of someone eating a baby animal is just too much for me and I tend to get physically sick whenever anyone eats it around me.

So I’m wondering if, hypothetically, I was out on a first date with a guy at a restaurant and he wanted to order veal, it would be too impolite to request that he didn’t order the veal.

I wouldn’t say no meat, of course, but even seeing veal on a plate makes me want to break down in tears or throw up.

I don’t want to scare away any guys with my vegetarianism, but I can’t handle seeing someone eat veal or lamb.

Is it too impolite for me to ask my date not to order it in a restaurant?
I said "no veal", not "no meat".

Meat eaters out there, is giving up veal for a relationship that hard? I feel like its something so small that it shouldn’t really matter, should it?

I mean, I’d be willing to give things up for a relationship… Not vegetarianism of course because that is a moral belief, but veal… thats not a moral. That’s a food.

If I had a boyfriend who got physically ill at the thought of chocolate, I would give it up… is it too much to ask that of a guy with a baby animal?

I’ve just recently became a lact-ovo vegetarian (no meats except dairy products and eggs) for health reasons, and I LOVE it! I have a lot of energy, never get bloated anymore, and a great digestive system. I am currently single, in college, and currently not dating, but not for long. I’ve heard that it is hard for vegetarians to date non vegetarians because of the different eating habits. So I wanted to obtain a few vegetarian testimonials on this topic. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO ABOUT ME CHANGING BACK TO EATING MEAT JUST TO GET A DATE. I LOVE IT AND WILL NEVER GO BACK TO EATING MEAT! Please remember that when you respond. Just wanted to obtain insight for when I do start dating again.

Should I date a vegetarian?

I went on a blind date with a guy – who turns out to be a vegetarian. I told him that I was a meat eater and unlikely to change my habits. Anyway, we got on well and he has asked me out on another date. I’m just not sure whether there is any future in this relationship…..should I just tell him that I can not date a vegetarian?

I had make a pot roast with carrots, spuds and gravey. He could not eat any of the vegetables because they touched the meat. We started out with appetizers that had meat in them. So for dinner he ate bread. I felt so bad. Should have my friendn told me she was bringing a vegitarian?
